You are assured of getting honest feedback on alterations since we have no in-house alteration department to keep busy.  We do have recommended experts we have worked with for years who not only alter but also can customize any aspect of your gown to turn a beautiful garment into a uniquely personal masterpiece. Cap the sleeves, deepen the bodice, scallop the hem, add a belt – you now have a one of a kind creation. Carolyn Verdi is an experienced wedding planner who is available to you for any wedding services you may need. She has the expertise to work with you on an a la carte basis to simplify your to-do list and give you time to focus on enjoying your engagement. Carolyn can provide a complete service for your wedding event needs, including full, partial, day of and long-distance planning.  A complimentary consultation is available by appointment.

Invitations and More

You can order invitations and then have hand calligraphy done on site. Carolyn can guide you through the process helping you get exactly what you want while keeping within a realistic budget. Carolyn can also recommend vendors for flowers, music, photography and more.

Whether you want to have a meal and a few drinks to celebrate the selection of your gown or you are looking for the perfect place for a bridal shower or rehearsal dinner, consider   La Fourno Ristorante Trattoria.  Located just a few blocks from The Sample Rack, La Fourno is one of Philadelphia's best Italian restaurants featuring classic dishes made from fresh ingredients.  If you buy your gown at The Sample Rack you are entitled to a discount on anything from a quiet meal for two to a private event for 40.  The upstairs room with a beautiful bar and fireplace is perfect for an intimate pre-or post wedding gathering.
